Iridium Marine SatPhone Solution
Iridium offers for the first time, an Iridium based satellite voice and data communidator which includes a 4 port PABX as standard, is SASS compliant, and offers complete independence from constraints in the position and distance the antenna is placed with respect to below deck unit. The system comprises two basic elements. A lightweight antenna unit (above deck unit-ADU with a radome) and a below deck unit (BDU) requiring 24V power. The main feathures are:
